It was by amazing chance that I was connected with Abby just a month before she started Inspiration to Paint (ITP). I was amazed at how much drive and detection Abby had to paint everyday for a month! When I saw her post that she was going to do it again I didn’t even take a second to think about it, I just had to join her!!! Once I joined this brand new group of amazing women, I was addicted!! One month became two then I had been painting all summer!!! This group became so close we were like family, pushing each other further then we ever had even imagined. ITP gave me the confidence to put my work out there for everyone to see. May people don’t know this but after I graduated from collage with a BFA in Painting, I got married (exactly 2 weeks after actually haha) and we got pregnant with our first child right away! Unfortunately we lost our first baby which sent me into a huge depression. I refused to paint for almost two years after that. It wasn’t until my son was born that my mom told me I needed to get out of the house so she surprised me with my first face painting kit ( a DFX laptop starter kit) and literally drove me to my first gig. I played around with it for a year but it wasn’t until Abby showed up in my life that I really started painting seriously again. ITP has changed my life in that it gave me painting back and a painty power family to motivate and support me.
